Ripplecups was founded in the late 1990s while designing brand concepts for corporate restaurant and coffee outlets, including for the "World’s favourite airline." At the time, disposable cups were single-wall paper cups with separate sleeves. Our client, Caroline, struggled with having to bring in staff early to attach clutches to hundreds of cups.
To solve this, we proposed a paper cup with an integral rippled sleeve. Caroline loved the idea, placed an order, and Ripplecups was born. Initially, bespoke designs had long delivery times and high quantity requirements, limiting smaller businesses to plain stock cups.
Thanks to advances in production, we can now offer bespoke double-wall cups in small quantities (MOQ 1000) with a quick 15-working-day turnaround. Our designs, including black and white, full-colour, and foil finishes, allow clients to showcase their brand across various venues. In addition to tea and coffee, our cups are used for tastings and promotions of spirits like whisky, gin, tequila, rum, and vodka.
